Soar Higher, Together, – Epicor Insights 2026, Nashville, TN

Last week, I spent time at the Gaylord Opryland Resorts in Nashville, Tennessee attending Epicor Insights 2026.

Soar Higher – Together was the theme of the conference. Steve Murphy, CEO of Epicor shared the CEO report. Epicor operates in over 150 countries, with over $1.5B in annual revenue, $2.3M daily users and 5000 employees. Steve also talked about Cognitive and Headless ERP and the industry-leading measures Epicor is taking.

Guillevin won the CEO Champion Award, while the Tilton Group was awarded with the Customer Innovation Award. Product Demos were showcased by Kerrie Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer and Arturo Buzzalino, Chief Innovation Officer. Vaibhav Vohra, President and Chief Product and Technology Officer at Epicor, ensured the keynotes were on track and welcomed the audience.

Columnist and Author Gene Marks was a guest speaker at the event. He offered a lot of practical insights and steps businesses can take given the common recent challenges faced by them. For example, he talked about offering HRA instead of Health Insurance to employees (reimburse them), suggested getting Whole Life Insurance for kids and the need to connect different systems and connect AI with Data. He also touched on the rising petroleum prices, their potential ramifications on business and ways to mitigate or help with them.

The Legendary Coach Nick Saban was a keynote speaker. He stressed on the need to focus on the process and not the outcomes. If one is a car salesman, what are the 6 things we need to do to sell cars? Execute with discipline. He talked about Transactional and Transformational leaders.

Transactional leaders focus on the outcomes and transformational leaders focus on processes. Being outcome-oriented creates anxiety and anxiety is not good for performance. When one plays golf, focus on the next shot and not the score. He asked to treat Winning and Losing the same. Genuinely help other people for their benefit.

Coach asked the audience, ‘Who wants to be #4?’

No one raised their hands.

Who wants to be #1? Everyone did.

However, are we willing to put in the effort to be #1?

One thing we loved about Insights was its transparency and access to executives. There was an executive lunch where we were able to spend time and talk to Epicor Executives and ask questions directly.

We also used the opportunity to meet with the Epicor Team – Lance Hutt, Vice President, Sales Division and George Olaru, Regional VP, Solution Sales. It was great to chat about the intersection of Sales and Solutions Engineering and how Epicor is positioned in the market. It was a great conversation with a lot of learning. Look forward to the episode, which will be live on the Driven By DCKAP podcast soon.

Of course, nothing beats working together with our team. I had a great time in Nashville, TN and it is fun to work together and Soar Higher Together.

Thank you for reading.
